Gardaí conducted searches in Westmeath, Offaly, Roscommon and Galway.
Four arrests have been made as part of a search operation in the midlands targeting an organised crime group.
Weapons including a machete, knives, cattle prod and a taser were discovered.
While two vehicles have also been seized, as well as a number of phones.
The searches took place in Athlone, Banagher, Cloghan, Ballinasloe and Taughmaconnell, earlier this morning.
Four men, three aged in their 20s and one in his 30s, are currently being detained by Gardaí.
The organised crime group is believed to be involved in activities such as possession and discharge of firearms, drug dealing, drug intimidation, burglaries and serious assaults.
