"Ludocris and ridiculous in the extreme" is how Laois Offaly Fianna Fáil TD Barry Cowen is describing his ban from Russia.
He and three other politicians from the midlands are among 52 Irish political representatives who have been banned from the country.
Chair of the Foreign Affairs Oireachtas Committee and Laois Offaly Fine Gael TD, Charlie Flanagan, along with Longford Westmeath Fianna Fail Deputy Joe Flaherty and Kilbeggan Senator Paul Daly's names also appear on the list.
