Further Frustrations Voiced With Lack Of Ministers Involved Shannon Callows Flooding Debates

For the second time in a month, a midlands TD has aired his concerns in a Dáil debate.

The absence of government ministers in discussions on flooding of the Shannon Callows is becoming a "worrying trend."

That's the claim being made by Roscommon Galway TD Denis Naughten, who, for the second time in the space of a month, raised concerns with a lack of representatives in a Dáil debate.

None of the three Public Expenditure and Reform Minsiters, Pascal Donoghue, Ossian Smyth and Patrick O' Donovan were present during the latest discussion on Shannon Callows flooding in the chamber.

Last month, Deputy Naughten also raised an issue with the absence of Ministers from the Department of Agriculture during a similar debate.
