It comes after a number of instances of tampering with school property.
Gardai in Offaly are appealing to those living near schools to be aware of suspicious behaviour.
It follows a series of incidents in which boundary fencing was removed and electric fencing tampered with.
The incidents occured in the Killina and Rahan areas.
The schools had similar problems in the summer which allowed livestock onto newly seeded sports pitches.
