Gardaí are investigating whether two incidents of criminal damage in the midlands last week are linked.
A Bord na Móna property in Rhode was vandalised last Thursday night, with 100,000 euro worth of damage done to a canteen facility, bulldozer and locomotive.
Meanwhile, a digger caused 1,000 euro worth of damage to the road between Milltownpass and Killucan, the same night between 10 and 11 o'clock.
The local authority was called to repair the surface.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information or who noticed suspicious activity in the areas to contact them.
DAMAGE: The incident happened overnight.
