The mother of a teenage boy injured during a hit and run in Westmeath is appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
16-year-old Peter Hogan required surgery on his leg after suffering injuries to his ankle when a car struck him on Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred on the Retreat Road at around 3.50pm.
Gardaí in Westmeath are investigating the incident.
