A passenger was removed from the service.
The 3.35pm train from Dublin to Galway has been delayed following an incident on-board.
The service was stopped in Offaly earlier this evening, after a passenger became abusive towards other customers.
The incident was reported to Irish Rail staff.
Gardaí boarded the train in Tullamore and took statements from passengers.
The abusive passenger was removed from the train.
A spokesperson for Irish Rail says the service has been delayed for 30 minutes.
