The disc belonged to someone else and had the dates changed.
Gardaí in the midlands stopped a car found to have a fake insurance.
The car was stopped in Westmeath, after the Gardaí number plate recognition alerted them to the presence of the car in the area.
On the car was a photocopy of another person's insurance disc with amended dates.
