Gardaí are urging motorists to “Park Smart” by removing all valuables from their cars.
It follows reports that a number of cars had property stolen from them over the past 48 hours in Portlaoise.
All the cars were parked in driveways of homes and unlocked.
Several items were taking they included clothing, money, bank cards and electrical items.
