Officers are set to walk 35km this weekend.
Gardaí are raising money for the Offaly Down Syndrome Association.
Staff and members of the Tullamore Division are to set to walk 35km as part of the fundraising efforts.
That walk will take them from Tullamore to Shannon Harbour along the Canal Bank this Saturday.
Officers have set a target of one thousand euro, but that has already been smashed, with just under three thousand euro raised.
