Going Back To Roundabouts Suggested As Solution For Mullingar Congestion

There are concerns over the traffic light system in the town.

A Westmeath business owner believes going back to the "roundabout system" might be the answer to resolving the ongoing traffic congestion in Mullingar.

It follows concerns that the new smart traffic light system in the town is causing a reduction in footfall.

Westmeath county councillors are to discuss the situation at a county development meeting today, and a special meeting will be held next Monday.
