Government Criticised For “Self-Congratulating”

There's been a modest drop in trolley numbers.

The government is under fire for "clapping itself on the back" for very modest improvements in trolley figures.

The Health Minister says there's been a 10% reduction in the daily 8am trolley count, despite an increase in emergency department presentations.

Only 6 people in the Midlands are on ED trolleys this morning, with 5 in Mullingar and one in Portlaoise.

Jennifer Carroll MacNeill says progress has been made, with a quarter fewer patients on trolleys following the St. Brigid’s Bank Holiday weekend.
