Governments Road Safety Strategy Criticised By Former Transport Minister

There have been 10 deaths on the roads in the midlands so far in 2023.

The government's road safety strategy is being heavily criticised, by a former Transport Minister.

Road deaths have reached a six-year high, with 100 people killed so far this year.

The RSA says it includes twenty-three people aged between 16 and 25.

There have been 10 deaths in the midlands so far in 2023, the highest number is in Westmeath at 6, 3 in Offaly and 1 in Laois.

Former Minister Shane Ross says the current trend is deeply concerning.
