Kirby Engineering Group has been given permission to proceed with extension plans in Portlaoise.
A major expansion at a Laois manufacturing plant has been given the green light.
The county council has given permission to the Kirby Engineering Group to proceed with its plans to extend their Portlaoise premise by just under 3 thousand square metres.
The development will see the construction of a 'light industrial unit' which will house similar operations to the existing facility which specialises inmechanical and electrical engineering.
Further works involved in the project will include roads, a carpark, and a service yard.
The roof of the building will carry solar panels.
