Green Party Says Current Housing Model Is Haemorrhaging Money

Its Longford/Westmeath election candidate favours a cost-rental system.

The Green Party says the current housing model is haemorrhaging money and only benefits private landlords. 

Its Longford/Westmeath candidate Louise Heavin believes a cost-rental model will be more beneficial to the government and potential buyers and renters. 

The party is looking to capitalise on a surge in support that saw it gain 37 seats on local councils last year.
