The President of the High Court says action will be taken when it comes to disruptive behaviour in courtrooms.
The Irish Independent is reporting Mr Justice David Barniville says the crackdown is necessary in light a number recent high profile incidents.
It comes after Justice Brian Cregan asked the Attorney General to bring criminal contempt of court proceedings against Enoch Burke and his family for their part in persistent courtroom disruptions.
Mr Burke has been involved in a long running dispute over his dismissal from Wilson's Hospital School in Westmeath.
The AG decided against bringing the case to the criminal courts.
