The figures have been released by the Irish Prison Service.
The Midlands Prison had the highest number of weapon seizures in Irish prisons last year.
Figures published by the Irish Prison Service put the number at 127 - which is almost a quarter of all weapons found across the country.
That's an increase of 38% on 2018, when 92 weapons were found in the facility.
