House prices in the Midlands continue to rise.
The latest Residental Price Property Index from the Central Statistics Office shows the region has seen a 10.2% increase in the twelve months to June 2025.
The most expensive place in the region to buy a house is still Westmeath at €300,000, a 11% increase from last year.
In Laois, prices have risen by 9% to €285,000.
While in Offaly, a house will set you back €265,000 at the moment, a 10% increase.
Nationally, house prices have increased by 7.9% with the median price being €370,000.
The cost of new house in Offaly has gone down in the last twelve months.
The latest CSO property price index statistics show the cost of a new house in the county is now €339,000 compared to €350,558 in 2024.
In Laois the price has increased by 1% to €369,083, whereas Westmeath saw an increase of 2% to €370,000.
Nationally the price climbed from €397,500 to €425,000 an increase of 6%.
