Housing For All Plan Will Be "Futile" If Shortage Of Skilled Tradespeople Continues

Just two from a class of 98 at a midlands school recently chose to enter an apprenticeship. 

The government's Housing For All Plan will be futile without addressing the shortage of skilled tradespeople in Ireland.

That's according to Offaly councillor John Leahy, who's highlighting a local secondary school where just two from a class of 98 chose to enter an apprenticeship. 

The independent rep says the construction sector is crying out for young people to choose it as a career path:
