The number of people employed by IDA companies in the Midlands is falling.
IDA Ireland's annual report for 2025 shows there was a 5.3% decrease in employment in the region.
That equates to the loss of 420 jobs last year, making it the worst performing in the country.
The border region tops the IDA list with a 3.6% increase in jobs, while the only other region to lose workers is the Mid-East, down 2.5%.
