The Ballinakill farmer underwent an operation to have it removed and he was given the all clear two weeks ago.
Pancreatic cancer affects almost 600 people in Ireland each year.
Mr. Gorman says going to the doctor that day was the best decision:
A health check programme run by the IFA last year found 23 people needed immediate medical care after their health check and 39% of people hadn't visited a GP in 12 months.
