The protest is taking place this Saturday in Athlone.
The IFA is confirming it will attend this weekend's Mercosur trade deal protest in Westmeath.
The demonstration will see thousands of farmers descend on Athlone to call for an end to a deal expected to bring thousands of tonnes of South American beef into the European market.
The Irish Farmer's Association is pointing to the recent recall of Brazilian beef from 12 different EU countries due the presence of illegal hormones.
35% of the union's population must oppose the deal to secure a blocking minority - meaning Ireland will need the support of the likes of France, Poland, Hungary and Austria to impede the treaty's progress.
