Income Threshold For Social Housing To Rise By €5,000

The changes will come into effect in five counties next month.

The income threshold for social housing is set to increase by €5,000.

The limit will increase from a bas level of €25,000 to €30,000, for couples without children it will increase to €31,500 while a couple with two children can earn a total of €33,000.

Those with four children can earn a net income of €36,000.

These changes will come into effect in Laois, Westmeath, Carlow, Clare and Galway on October 1st.
