650,000 families are set to benefit from a special one-off boost this week.
An extra €100 is added to child benefit payments for June, bringing the monthly amount to €240.
Over 13,000 families in Westmeath will receive the payment, followed by 11,000 in Laois and 10,000 in Offaly.
