The latest increase in the price of pints came as 'a bolt out of the blue'.
That's according to President of the Vintners' Federation of Ireland and owner of Giltraps in Kinnity, John Clendennen.
After a 12 cent increase in February, Diageo is adding a further increase of 4 cent to the cost of stout and beer.
