Tullamore GAA Club will be welcoming the Chair of Ireland’s independent electoral commission today.
An independent information campaign is being launched in the midlands today for the two Referendums taking place on March 8th.
Tullamore GAA Club will be welcoming the Chair of Ireland’s independent electoral commission Ms Justice Baker this afternoon, to talk to players young and old about voting in the upcoming 8 March referendums.
The country's independent electoral commission - An Coimisiún Toghcháin - will be explaining the issues that are being voted on, and promoting people's participation.
The March 8th referendums deal with how the constitution refers to the family, carers, and 'women in the home'.
The commission is organising a number of campaign visits around the country starting with this afternoon's event at the Tullamore GAA Centre followed by trips to Kildare, Sligo and Galway.
