The Ceann Comhairle has ruled the Regional Independent Group be allowed Opposition speaking time.
Independents supporting the government can't hurl for both sides.
That's according to Laois TD Brian Stanley who will be entering the 34th Dail as an Independent himself.
It's after the Ceann Comhairle said this week that the Regional Independent Group can have Opposition speaking time.
The group includes Offaly Deputy Carol Nolan, and Longford Westmeath rep Kevin Boxer Moran.
Verona Murphy believes the precedent of Fianna Fáil supporting Fine Gael during the confidence and supply agreement in 2016 justifies her decision.
