The Injuries Resolution Board will have more powers to settle insurance premiums in newly planned reforms by Government.
It's part of a new 26 point action plan in order to reduce costs that's being led by Longford-Westmeath TD's Peter Burke and Robert Troy.
By strengthening the board's functions, it's hoped less people will use the litigation route to settle standardised claims.
