Cancer Charity Calls For Music Festival Nicotine Sponsorship Ban

80,000 people are set to be subject to tobacco sponsorships at Electric Picnic.

The Irish Cancer Society says no nicotine company should be allowed to partner with a music festival.

It wants the Government to ban sponsorships of events like Electric Picnic by groups such as British American Tobacco and Japan Tobacco International.

It says 80,000 people, many of them 18 and under, will be subject to heavy promotion of e-cigarettes and nicotine pouches this weekend.
