A White-tailed Eagle was shot dead in Westmeath last month.
A Junior Minister says the perpetrators of a wildlife crime must be brought to justice after the shooting of a White-Tailed Eagle in Westmeath.
The two year old bird was shot dead in Lough Owel on December 6th shortly before Storm Darragh.
The National Parks and Wildlife Service believe the bird was shot delibrately but are awaiting official forensic results.
Minister of State for Nature and Heritage Malcolm Noonan has urged the public to come forward with any information on the shooting to the NPWS, which will be treated in confidence.
