The site is owned by Kilmurray Concrete.
Kilsaran Concrete has been cleared to buy an Offaly sand and gravel pit.
The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission had been investigating whether the purchase would lead to a 'substantial' lessening of competition in the State.
The agreement would see Kilsaran buy the sand and gravel pit, a processing plant and associated assets in Derryarkin, Rhode, which is owned and operated by Kilmurray Precast Concrete Limited.
The CCPC has determined the deal would not lessen competition in the State, and has cleared the purchase, which can now be put into effect.
