Laois Councillor Calls For More Diverse Discussion On Electric Cars

There's currently no charging points in her area.

A Laois councillor is calling for more outside the box thinking as rural Ireland transitions from fossil fuel engines.

Fine Gael Graiguecullen/Porarlington rep, Aisling Moran, is questioning the practicality of electric cars for those in rural areas, who do high mileage on a weekly basis. 

Laois County Council recently committed to installing 20 charge points around Portlaoise and a further 30 throughout the region.
