Approval is being granted for an 80 metre meteorological mast on a Laois mountain.
Cullahill Wind Farm Limited had been seeking planning permission since August for the continued operation of the mast installed at Gorteennahilla in March last year.
The plans are to maintain and operate the existing 80 metre mast, together with all ancillary infrastructure, for up to five years.
Despite a number of objections against the planning application, Laois County Council is approving the plans on five conditions.
