A number of projects across varies departments are set to benefit.
Laois County Council is hoping to spend 130 million euro in capital projects over the next three years.
The local authority estimates that almost half of the Indicative Capital Programme will be spent on housing.
The 130 million euro programme will be spent on housing, roads, climate action, flood relief, local amenities, urban and local regeneration, libraries and fire services.
The council is hoping to spend 50 million euro on constructing new homes, while another 7.5 million euro will be used to acquire houses and almost 1 million euro will go towards improving local authority housing and an Energy Efficiency programme.
Almost 6.5 million euro is being set aside for roads, including an upgrade to the N77 Abbeyleix Road Portlaoise, cycling lanes and traffic calming measures.
Mountmellick, Clonaslee and Portarlington will over 9.2 milion euro in funding for flood relief projects.
Meanwhile, five million euro from the Just Transition fund, will be used to improve energy upgrades in council houses.
800,000 euro will be spent on tourism initiatives in the county, while the fire services will get just under 3.5 million euro in funding.
And five million euro is being allocated to building the new library in Portlaoise.
