Laois Labour Rep Won't Be Running In Upcoming Election

He says he is hoping the party can rebuild its presence in the midlands.

A Laois Labour Party rep says he won't be running in the upcoming general election. 

There had been speculation that Eoin Barry, who ran for the party in last year's local elections, would contest for a Dáil seat in Laois-Offaly. 

However, he won't be putting his name forward due to work commitments as he doesn't have the time needed to run a Dáil campaign. 

But the Graiguecullen man says he's hopeful that the party can rebuild its presence in the midlands:
