Laois Local Authority Make Funding Applications for Tourism Amenity

The council plans to conduct a feasibility study on Donaghmore Workhouse and Museum.

Laois County Council is seeking funding to develop a new tourism amenity. 

Applications have been made to Fáilte Ireland and the Just Transition Fund for Donaghmore Workhouse and Museum.

The council plans to conduct a feasibility study on the site’s potential.

Councillor  for Borris in Ossory/Mountmellick John King believes the project, including parking for campervans and food facilities, will boost the local economy.

A tourist information centre is also proposed for people visiting the area.
