The Portarlington parents have been thanking him for the kind gesture.
A Laois locksmith is being praised for his quick-thinking after a toddler got locked inside a car for over an hour.
Claire and Peter Donnelly called Jack Nolan Locksmith's in Portlaoise when they noticed their key had malfunctioned.
Conor Nolan rushed to their home in Portarlington and was able to open the door in less than a minute.
