A lucky midlands lotto player has scooped up a ticket worth a quarter of a million euro.
The winning Lotto Plus 2 ticket was bought in the Centra store on the Dublin Road in Portlaoise.
The winning numbers from Saturday night's draw were 1, 2, 12, 15, 24, 31, and the bonus was 47.
There was no winner in the €3.9 million jackpot.
