The decision is expected to be delivered in court today.
A Laois nursing home which has been cited for repeatedly exposing its residents to significant harm is to lose its license.
In a letter to staff seen by Midlands 103, Droimnin Nursing Home's owners say they're expecting their registration to be cancelled today with the HSE set to take over.
The Stradbally facility has been the subject of a HIQA application to cancel its license since September of last year after its chief inspector found there was "reasonable grounds of risks to life or serious risk to the health and welfare to residents".
In its latest inspection, published last month, the health care watchdog found the nursing home non-compliant in eight of ten regulation areas it was examined on.
