A Laois primary school is closing its doors this evening until January 6th.
Holy Family Senior School in Portlaoise says it's making the decision due to advice from Public Health doctors.
It says it's a proactive not a reactive measure and it's the safest way to protect the whole community.
The school also says remote learning will be in place for students next week.
