All 5th year students should be educated from home until Wednesday 21st October.
A Laois school has been notified by the HSE today that one of their 5th year students has tested positive for Covid-19.
St. Mary's CBS, Portlaoise, is wishing the student a speedy and full recovery.
The Department of Health and the HSE has advised that all 5th year students should be educated from home until Wednesday 21st October.
The school says lessons will take place over Mircosoft Teams and all homework can be submitted through Teams.
All other years should attend classes as normal.
The school is also asking all parents to remind their sons that this virus is real, it is in the community and we must all follow the HSE Guidelines to the letter.
