Laois Senator Warns Midlands STEM Progress At Risk Without New Funding

June 23rd marked the conclusion of the "Driving STEM in the Midlands" programme.

A Laois Senator says all the time, work, and money spent on improving STEM in the Midlands will be wasted if fresh funding isn't found soon.

The almost €4 million "Driving STEM in the Midlands" programme reached the end of its lifespan Tuesday.

Team RNS Robotics from Rosenallis National School recently made history by winning the prestigious Engineering Division Judges’ Award at the VEX IQ Robotics World Championships in St Louis, Missouri.

The school was recognised at a special ceremony in Laois County Council chambers last Thursday.
