Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
A man in his 90s has died following a collision with a parked car in County Laois.
It happened when his car left the road at Tullyroe near Abbeyleix at around 10 o'clock this morning.
He was taken to Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise, where he was later pronounced dead.
The parked car was unoccupied and no other injuries were reported.
The road was closed for technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
Road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R433 near Tullyroe, Abbeyleix, Co. Laois, this morning, Saturday 27th June, 2026 between 9.30am and 10.15am, are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
