Laois TD Highlights Four Year Wait For Neurological Assessments

Independent rep Brian Stanley highlighted the case of a young Portlaoise woman in the Dail.

People in Laois are facing a four year wait to access crucial neurological assessments.

That's according to Independent TD Brian Stanley, who says a 23-year-old Portlaoise woman has no access to adult occupational therapy services in the county. 

She developed severe mobility problems following scoliosis surgery and has been unable to return to work. 

He believes nearly six in 10 neurological patients in the midlands have no access to community rehab.
