Merry Ole Mick, who's Santa's long lost Irish cousin, delivers children's notes to the North Pole.

Three Laois men have set up a company to rival Elf on the Shelf. 

Merry Ole Mick, who's Santa's long lost Irish cousin, gives children the opportunity to write their thoughts and anxieties on notes. 

He will then deliver the letters to Saint Nick in the North pole.

Co-founder of Merry Ole Mick's Chimney Express and Portlaoise's Joey Delaney hopes the toy will help open up communications lines between children and their parents:
