A Laois woman living in Australia says it's been a nightmare having to re-enter lockdown.

5 million people in Melbourne are confined to their homes again, after a rise in covid cases.

Cliona Stephenson, originally from Rosenallis, says they had suppressed the virus a month ago, but 300 new cases have been reported today alone.

She says it's down to the disastrous management of hotel quarantine for foreign visitors in the city.

Victoria's border has been shut, and Cliona says they've become a social pariah among other Australians:
