The Midlands will be home to the Rose of Tralee again after Katelyn Cummins from County Laois was named the winner for 2025.
Hailing from Ballyouskill on the Kilkenny border, the apprentice electrician beat 31 other hopefuls, impressing the judges with her warmth and a poem dedicated to her late grandmother.
Outside of work, Katelyn is active in her community as chairperson of North Kilkenny Macra and enjoys camogie, set dancing, jiving and running.
The 20 year old is the first winner from the O'Moore County in the history of the competition.
She will now represent Ireland on the international stage as part of the Rose of Tralee festival.
