A total of 68 adults are also deemed homeless across the region.
The level of family homelessness is now at it's lowest since March 2016.
There's been a reduction of 37 percent, or 578 families, accessing emergency accomodation in December 2020, compared to the same month the previous year.
68 people are currently classified as homeless in the midlands, 30 in Laois and Offaly, 24 in Westmeath and 14 in Longford.
16 families in the region are also without a permanent home.
Meanwhile there's also been a drop of almost 16 percent in the number of individuals presenting to homeless services in the same period.
