The Offaly woman won't be going near the sink during a storm ever again.
A midlands woman says she "feels hungover" after being struck by lightning at her kitchen sink.
53-year-old Caroline Blake, from Crinkle in Birr was making a cup of coffee when lightning struck her house during a storm on Tuesday afternoon.
Doctors at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore told her the rubber in the soles of her runners saved her, as well as the fact she'd kept her feet firmly planted on the ground.
