The Longford Westmeath electorate was denied their right to all the relevant facts, by the Standards In Public Office commission not releasing a report on Robert Troy before the general election.
That's according to People Before Profit - Solidarity TD Paul Murphy, following the report on Deputy Troy which was completed in late October this year.
The Fianna Fáil rep failed to declare in full his property and business interests between 2020 and 2022, leading him to resign from his Minister of State position.
SIPO claim the decision to wait until after the election was due to being impartial and not releasing any non-routine reports during that time.
Deputy Murphy says when the report was completed, the election date had not been legally confirmed, only speculated:
